| Jeffery Tom joined the Third District staff in January 2005. He is the Council Representative for Uptown and Balboa Park.
Jeffery works on infrastructure projects, small business, redevelopment
and economic development issues.
Jeffery most recently served as executive director of Uptown Partnership
for the past four years. Uptown Partnership is a non-profit community
development organization that manages the City of San Diego's Community
Parking District Program in Uptown.
Prior to his work at Uptown Partnership, Jeffery was a council representative
and policy analyst for then-Councilmember Christine Kehoe for all
seven years of her two terms in office. He worked on constituent issues
in Uptown and South Park, redevelopment, Balboa Park, arts and culture,
and was also responsible for coordinating the City Council docket
for the office.
A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, he is a 33-year resident of San Diego.
He graduated from the University of California, and currently resides
in Hillcrest with his partner of seven years.
